Aimee McCurdy is committed to advancing the labour movement and advocating for workers’ rights.

Prior to joining UPFH as an associate in 2025, Aimee finished her articles at a union-side labour law firm in Ottawa, predominantly working with federal and provincial public sector unions.

Aimee received her Juris Doctor degree from Queen’s University with honours, where she concentrated on labour and employment law. At Queen’s, she served as the Senior Editor of the Canadian Labour and Employment Law Journal, developed AI-Employment tools for the Conflict Analytics Lab, led multiple Tenant Rights’ Workshops through the Displacement Project, and participated in the Labour Law Moot. Outside of the labour-context, Aimee worked directly with clients at the Family Justice Centre and held the position of President of the Queen’s Law Palestinian Advocacy Association.

She is a member of the Canadian Association of Labour Lawyers and Canadian Bar Association.
